Toots Thielemans, Flat Earth Society, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Bert Joris Quartet figure on the poster for the 28th edition of Jazz Middelheim. This year the festival takes place from August 13-16 in Park Den Brandt in Antwerp.

On Thursday, August 13, the jazz big band Flat Earth Society introduces their latest album "Cheer Me, Pervert". The American jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater is the headline on Friday, August 14. Toots Thielemans:
Saturday, August 15 Toots Thielemans plays with the Danilo Perez Trio. Perez, known as a pianist of the Wayne Shorter Quartet, completes his trio with Ben Street (bass) and Adam Cruz (drums).

For Sunday, August 16, the last festival day has also Bert Joris Quartet (with Dado Moroni on piano, bass on Philippe Aerts, Dré Pallemaerts on drums and Bert Joris on trumpet) confirmed. George won last years Klara Music Prize for the album "Magone".

Jam sessions:
Jazz Middelheim will again organize jam sessions. The jam sessions will start after the last festival gig in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, within walking distance of the festival area.
