Lotos Jazz Poland

This weekend in Polen one of the biggest jazzfestivals will take place you can find in Polen, and that is the Lotus Jazz Festival. The festival is being organised by he Art Theatre Association under command of Jerzy Bartycki and every year it is a big success. The festival takes place in the winter and they have a good reason for it. People from all over the country and abroad come to visit the beautiful Beskidy Mountains region. Jazz legends and famous jazz artists will perform beautiful jazz sounds on different locations like Magic Malik Orchestra, Andrzej Jagodzinski Trio, McCoy Tyner Quartet and many others.

They also organize a competition for talented young jazz artist and if they win they can record an album and that will be promoted by sponsors of the festival. Ruud Wijkniet could not be missing at this event so he went to Polen to experience the amazing jazz music and maybe get inspiration for The Hague Jazz!
