Singer Waylon and Anneke van Giersbergen are nominated for a Duiveltje. This price is an initiative from Music Centre the Netherlands and is unique because musicians will choose the winner. The nominees are put forward by previous winners of Duiveltjes. Prices of Music Center the Netherlands will be awarded during the Gala of Pop Music on Wednesday, May 26th at the Melkweg in Amsterdam.
Waylon also received a golden record for his album Wicked Ways on the tv show De Wereld Draait Door. He was emotional but very happy. Thursday, June 10 Waylon will be playing with the Metropole Orchestra at The Hague Jazz Special Concerts and also occur Saturday, June 12 on The Hague Jazz festival 2010.
