Yesterday evening, Connie Breukhoven performed for a fully sold out audience in total secrecy. Her performance was the absolute highlight of the unique opening evening for the lustrum edition of the prestigious The Hague Jazz Festival.
A select audience bore witness to an overwhelming and previously strictly secret performance, where Connie was supported by her own orchestra existing of at least 25 musicians conducted by famous arranger/ composer Pier Souer. The performance is also the introduction of an elaborate music and media project, where Connie Breukhoven will play the lead. Ruud Wijkniet, festival director of The Hague Jazz, responds very enthusiastically to the unannounced performance of Connie Breukhoven last night.
‘This was without a doubt the ultimate dream start of the lustrum edition of our festival. I personally view this performance as a true once in a lifetime experience. The energy in the air was almost visible, this was so special, that it is too hard to explain, and anyone who was there will agree. Not only the repertoire, but also the way of performing perfectly represented our festival, namely a unique experience for lovers of quality music. When this performance is only the appetizer to the main course with which she will surprise us next year, I am sure that Connie will enchant all of the Netherlands, and possibly even more.’
