WFCC and Clockround Events sign cooperation agreement.

World Forum Convention Center and Clockround Events join forces for The Hague Jazz.

May 2006 the World Forum Convention Center saw the successful launch of the new jazzfestival THE HAGUE JAZZ, DON’T JAZZYTATE. This year the World Forum Convention Center will not only be the location where this festival takes place, but WFCC and Clockround Events, the organiser of The Hague Jazz, have entered into an extensive partnership. Together they will make sure, that The Hague Jazz, in the years to come, will grow to become a yearly festival of international allure with top artists. This ambitious cooperation between the two parties puts a solid foundation under the event, creating a great feeling of confidence for the future.

The Hague Jazz

The first edition of The Hague Jazz was very successful. The festival was praised for the intimate and relaxing atmosphere, proving that jazz in The Hague is fully alive. This year The Hague Jazz takes place on Friday May 18 and Saturday May19 and it will be bigger, but certainly not less intimate. The number of stages will be increased and “big” names are to be expected. The World Forum Convention Center will be fizzing during those days with Jazz and related musical styles such as soul, blues, gospel and funk. The detailed program will bemade public on March 14 when the press-conference will take place in the World Forum Convention Center. The performances of Tania Maria, Nigel Kennedy, Take Six and Spyro Gyra can already be confirmed.

Month of May, Month of Jazz

Because jazz-lovers never get enough of Jazz, Wednesday 16 the Hague Jazz Preview will break loose. Downtown The Hague will present a number of live jazz-concerts with artists, also playing at the festival. Scheveningen will be included as location to play for many artists: the boulevard, pubs (also on the beach) and some hotels. May 2007 will thus be baptized “Jazz Month” of The Hague.
